Konduko builds global presence with two senior appointments

Contactless event technology pioneer, Konduko, has announced the appointment of Matthew Wilson as VP for Business Development in the UK and Europe (pictured left,) and Clifford Fairbrass as VP for Business Development in Asia-Pacific, as it continues to grow and consolidate its global senior team.

Matthew and Clifford join the business at a busy time, as Konduko provides contactless smart event technology, which is helping events and exhibitions across the world return to profitability, following the devastating impact of COVID-19.

Both appointments will report directly to Konduko’s CEO and founder, Matt Harris and will play an important role in supporting Konduko’s award-winning ‘Kontactless Smart Events’ platform roll-out across the busy event regions.

Talking about the new appointments, Matt Harris, Konduko Founder & CEO commented: “I’m pleased to welcome Clifford and Matthew to Konduko. They both have a huge amount of experience and knowledge in the event technology industry, and they both have superb insights into the specific regions in which they operate.

“What is incredibly important is both Clifford and Matthew really understand the specific issues facing event organisers and the industry as a whole, due to COVID-19, and they are as keen as anyone to help in-person shows come back safely and profitably.  Their input and expertise are crucial to Konduko’s continued success as we continue to make that happen.”

Matthew Wilson comments on his appointment: “Konduko has created a brilliant culture of delivering exceptional service and outstanding results to its customers, and I am really pleased to be joining a professional and passionate team.  I’m really looking forward to working with events professionals across the continent as I help them understand the impressive nature of Konduko’s offer – from its contactless reader technology through to real-time exhibitor and show data.

“Contactless technology for events is here to stay. Not only does it reduce health risk factors, but it’s also already producing data insight that is driving more intelligent events that deliver significantly better ROI for organisers and exhibitors alike.”

Commenting about his appointment, Clifford Fairbrass says: “I’m glad to have joined Konduko and at this pivotal time when the events industry is looking at ways to come back stronger from COVID-19.  I know first-hand how impressive Konduko’s technology is – it delivers significant results, and I hope to be able to work with event organisers across Asia-Pacific to help them get the most out of their events and enhance the experience for both exhibitors and attendees.”

A safe Konduko Kontactless Smart Event works by placing Smart Readers on entrances, exhibitor booths and in seminars. These are pre-loaded with exhibitor content that attendees can collect using their Kontactless Smart Badges. In return, exhibitors receive attendees contact details and information about their interest profile. This ‘Digital Handshake’, is an entirely contactless, COVID-safe exchange. Event organisers and exhibitors can also make use of a range of in-depth real-time data to support event delivery and better lead generation.
