After being shortlisted in three different categories for Event Technology Awards 2021, the cloud-based event payment and online broadcasting platform TicketCo is planning a strong presence at the event in London.
“TicketCo Media Services is in fact the world’s only true hybrid events platform, and we will use our stand at Event Tech Live to showcase just that,” said TicketCo’s Vice President of Greenfield Sales, David Kenny.
“In collaboration with our customer Junkyard Golf Club we will install a golf course at our stand in Old Truman Brewery. The golf course will be open for everyone to attend and each hole-in-one will be awarded free entry to one of Junkyard Golf Club’s venues across the UK.”
“Besides that, we will broadcast each attempt live online through TicketCo Media Services for everyone at the conference to watch. This will demonstrate just how simple it is to go live with a sports event or any other kind of event through our platform, and we will demonstrate the quality of our end product,” said Mr Kenny.
TicketCo is shortlisted in the categories Best Pivot from Physical to Virtual, Best Hybrid Event Platform or Production and Best Sales Solution for TicketCo Media Services at Event Technology Awards. The streaming solution is built on the top of the TicketCo event payments platform, which makes it unique globally as the world’s only fully integrated one-stop-shop for hybrid events.
One of the pioneer TMS users was the Bristol based theatre company Wise Children. Via pay-per-view live streaming it quadrupled its audience during the first UK lockdown in 2020. It has since pivoted from a touring theatre company to a touring hybrid theatre company.
The initiator for Wise Children’s virtual success – technical director and Tony Awards winner Simon Baker – will also attend Event Tech Live to give an expert speech on how the company went virtual and how he sees the future for virtual events.
“TicketCo Media Services is all about making complexity simple and broadcasting available for everyone. Wise Children is a living proof of this,” added David Kenny.
Adam Parry of co-organiser of Event Technology Live said: “I am extremely excited to have the TicketCo team at Event Tech Live and The Event Technology Awards. Having watched the company go from strength to strength I know our attendees will gain a lot of value by seeing how their true hybrid events platform can power the attendee experience.
I am no pro golfer, in fact the only thing I seem to get a hole-in-one is one of my socks, but I will certainly be attempting the to get one with TicketCo and Junkyard Gold Club at ETL.“
Sam Jones, Managing Director at Junkyard Golf Club added: “We’re looking forward to injecting some fun into proceedings, while demonstrating how combining innovation and technology has a huge impact on events.”
