Meet the Speaker: Simona Andrijauskaite

Simona is a Co-Founder at Interactio – multilingual meetings platform that revolutionized the way multilingual events and meetings are happening. Simona is a frequent speaker in tech, entrepreneurship and women empowering events. Interactio is currently working with the most important world’s meetings and the companies run rate growth in 2020  was 12 times.

  • How long have you worked in the events industry and what keeps you interested in it?

I started my journey in the events industry 7 years ago, when together with Henrikas Urbonas and Domas Labokas, we co-founded Interactio. I believe we are solving a problem that was not tackled before and currently we already have around 2K events using our system on a monthly basis – the positive feedback and the constant improvements and growth motivate me a lot.

  • Best (and worst?) moments working in the events industry?

The worst moments are definitely related with the live event stress to perform to the maximum quality – our whole team works in a constant pressure to make things perfect in live events context.

The best moments of working in the events industry are definitely coming from an opportunity to build bridges to human connection, to the knowledge without borders. Seeing that result is what really matters. We have received so many client and user stories where getting access to communicate without language barriers changed their perception or even life. Our main goal is to enable people to communicate in their preferred language and be heard, and seeing that result brings the most incredible moments.

  • What was the last event on which you worked?

The most recent event I worked on was an event dedicated to a very exciting moment for Interactio. We have recently raised the largest series A rounds in the Baltics and wanted to give back to the community. Thus, we organized a panel discussion, where we wanted to inspire young entrepreneurs and tell our story. The event was broadcasted live and interpreted by using the Interactio platform, so many people could enjoy it in their native language.

  • From your experience, what’s the best way to utilize tech at an event?

The best tech event solutions solve actual problems, make attendees’ experience easier, and help them get more out of the event. This should be the key criteria for choosing innovative solutions and technologies for your event – does it bring actual value, does it solve problems.

  • What are you most looking forward to at Event Tech Live?

I am looking forward to connecting with event organizers, to understand what they are going through in the current context. So many things changed in the last year!

  • What do events, such as ETL, mean to you?

These events are a crucial place to gather industry insights, share lessons learnt, and build lasting relationships.

  • What can our delegates expect to take away from your session at ETL?

I will be talking about the key aspects of multilingual events: how to set them up online, onsite or hybrid way and how to decide if it makes sense for you to have a multilingual aspect of the event. Besides, I will provide use cases of the top industry events to illustrate how the top event organizers are making their events more accessible, what are the things to avoid and how to make the most out of your multilingual meeting or event.
