This is the declaration you accept when you register for, or confirm your place at, Event Tech Live 2026. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers your rights and how long we keep your data.
Registering means we hold some information about you. Here is what we collect, who sees it, and what you can turn off.
Badge scanning
You choose whether to have your badge scanned by exhibitors, sponsors, speakers or at stages. Allowing a scan is your consent for us to share your registration details with that company or sponsor so they can follow up after the show. They may contact you about their products or services, and your details may be transferred outside the UK and European Economic Area. You can always decline a scan and you will still get in.
Badges are also scanned at theatre and session entrances so we can monitor capacity. Where a session is hosted or sponsored by a named company, letting your badge be scanned also acts as consent to share your details with that sponsor.
If an exhibitor invited you
If you register through an invitation link from an exhibitor, that exhibitor can see your name and email address so they know you are coming. Nothing else is shared with them, not your job title, your company, or your answers to any of the questions. In most cases they will have invited you personally by email, message or phone and will already hold those details, or you will already be on their list. They can use this to follow up with you about meeting at the show. They cannot add you to their marketing lists unless you agree to that separately, for example by letting them scan your badge.
How we use your data
AMP Events Limited holds and uses your data to run the event and to look at visitor attendance so we can make the show better next time. Our hosting providers, and the platforms named in this declaration, process it on our behalf. We rely on legitimate interests, and on your consent where that applies.
Your attendee profile
We create a profile for you in the event platform, which is Eventpack and Erleah, and other attendees can see it. When you use the app to connect with someone, by bookmarking a session, joining a chat or requesting a meeting, you are agreeing to share your name, job title, company and contact details with them. You can change or withdraw that visibility in the app’s privacy settings whenever you like. You will also get notifications about your activity at Event Tech Live 2026.
Braindate
Braindate is how you book conversations with other people at the show. It is run for us by e-180, a company based in Canada, so your details are transferred and stored there.
When Braindate opens we create an account for you from your name, job title, company and email address, so you can sign in without filling anything in again. Other attendees can see your name, job title and company. If you post a topic, everyone attending can see the topic and your name against it.
We will email you about Braindate before the show. Some of those are sent on our behalf by e-180 from the Braindate platform. Either way they are our emails, and the unsubscribe works the same as anything else we send.
If you would rather not take part, tell us and we will remove your account. Your badge, the app and everything else carry on as normal.
Making your visit more relevant
We and our technology partners may build a short profile of what is likely to interest you, drawn in part from information available about your organisation. It helps us surface the right sessions and helps exhibitors follow up properly. We only use it at Event Tech Live. Switch it off in the app or tell us and we will do it, and your badge scanning and app access carry on as normal.
Meeting recordings
If you book or join a meeting through the event platform, we may record and transcribe it so you and the company you meet both get a summary, notes and follow-up actions. We will tell you before anything is recorded and you can say no. Recordings are used only at Event Tech Live and deleted within 12 months of the show.
Photography and filming
Memento is our official photography partner. Photographs and video are taken throughout the show and used to promote Event Tech Live. Images may be processed using biometric technologies in line with Memento’s Privacy Policy. If you would rather not appear, tell a photographer on the day or email us and we will take you out.
Contacting you about your visit
If you give us a phone number, we may use it to contact you about your registration and your visit, so your badge, timings, on-site information and confirming your attendance. That is how we run the event and get you through the door.
Anything beyond that, including news about future events, only happens if you choose “Yes, text me” in the phone number section. You can change your mind at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us.
Messages sent by WhatsApp go through Meta Platforms, are processed by Meta, and may be transferred outside the UK and European Economic Area.
For how we use your data, your rights and how long we keep it, see our Privacy Policy.
