Part of the AI in Events 2025 research from Event Tech Live. Interview by Adam Parry, founder, Event Tech Live. Published 14 February 2025. Last updated 18 April 2026.
Kerry Prifty, Senior Director of Enterprise Events at Liberty Mutual Insurance, on how AI has reshaped the back-office of a corporate events team, and what specific, measurable changes it has delivered.
The three things Kerry says you need to know
AI cut contract review from one-to-two weeks to 48 hours. Liberty Mutual is piloting an AI contracting tool with centralised legal oversight. Standardisation is giving more consistent clause reviews and continuously refining risk acceptance thresholds.
Post-event survey analysis changed a programme’s location strategy. AI sifted through comments in minutes instead of days. The insights it surfaced were significant enough to change the location for that programme in future years.
Real-time sentiment analysis is the next step. Liberty Mutual is exploring how to measure sentiment in real time to understand which parts of the attendee experience are actually working.
How is AI helping your corporate event strategies, especially around compliance and data security?
AI is changing how Liberty Mutual’s enterprise events team structures and allocates resources. One specific area: an AI contracting tool piloted in partnership with the legal team. The approach is low-risk contract reviews with centralised legal oversight.
Standardising the process has given more consistent reviews of clauses and helps the team continuously refine its risk acceptance thresholds. Review turnaround time has dropped from one-to-two weeks to 48 hours. The effect is that the team can automate in key ways, speed up deliverables, and spend more time on strategy and creativity.
How do you use AI to align event objectives with attendee needs?
AI has been used to summarise post-event surveys, creating reports in minutes rather than days of manual work. For one programme, the survey insights AI surfaced influenced a change in the event’s location strategy for future years. Without succinct summarisation of the data, that insight could have been missed, and for Prifty it is critical to delivering exceptional attendee experiences.
Next on the list: real-time sentiment analysis. The team sees an opportunity to dig deeper into which parts of the attendee experience are most successful while the event is still running.
How has AI been useful for measuring ROI on large-scale enterprise events?
Survey analysis can be matched to other existing data sources, giving a more holistic view of how events contribute to employee retention and other key corporate KPIs. AI also enables more granular audience segmentation, making it easier to provide custom event experiences.
“AI is playing a huge role in our corporate event strategies, changing the landscape of how we structure and allocate resources across our team.”
