From 2020 to 2022, Dr Katie Ford moved from being a Veterinary Surgeon with years of experience in Emergency Medicine and Surgery to co-creating virtual experiences and conferences, as a part of Introducing Events and beyond. Using transferrable skills gained in the operating theatre, client communication, and lifesaving situations, to create seamless transitions and optimal delegate experience.
In this session, she will reflect on top lessons learned and insights as a previous outsider in the space, using anecdotes from the operating theatre – ‘Event Emergency Medicine’ if you will.
Katie is an experienced public speaker, having spoken extensively in the veterinary industry on personal development and imposter syndrome. Katie was the keynote speaker at the British Veterinary Nursing Association Congress in 2020.
