From registration to post-event analytics, and all points between, Canapii’s fully customisable platform, bristling with USPs, took the Gold Award at Event Tech Live US & Canada’s Start-Up Competition, a prize worth £5,000.
According to Reed Exhibitions’ Abi Cannons and Michael Chaffe, CEO at Wolves Summit, two of the judges, Canapii’s AI translation feature, with its international inclusivity, clinched it.
Twigged, AMPP Digital’s platform agnostic event registration tool, secured Silver – £3,000 worth of marketing, judges impressed with its scalability commenting, “It really is new tech and it solves a real problem.”
VII Events, a Saas 3D another boundary-breaking virtual & hybrid show platform, took the Bronze Award and £2,000 to spend on promotion.
Adam Parry, co-founder of Event Tech Live, comments: “The first ETL US & Canada Start-Up Competition didn’t disappoint. The three finalists were noses ahead of the field but all 15 companies in the original mix had great ideas and I’m sure we’ll hear more from all of them. So, congratulations to everyone involved – and to Canapii for getting the Gold.
“There isn’t a neat analogy about start-ups and the next generation because companies can go on a lot longer than people, but this industry, tech, depends on new systems/new ideas and contemporary thinking is a crucial part of that.
“I really hope the marketing spend Canapii, Twigged and VII Events take away from ETL USA & Canada helps those companies spread the word about their work and gives them the leg up they thoroughly deserve.”
