BroadcastMed acquires Digitell, Inc.

BroadcastMed announced the acquisition of Digitell, Inc. today. The acquisition, which occurred on December 23, 2021, will allow BroadcastMed to reach its 2022 goals, including broadening service offerings for its extensive client base and increasing its audience to a vast array of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and other allied HCPs.

Digitell developed a robust, award winning, event and year-round Digital Content Management System that allows clients to rapidly create, customize and launch their projects. It uses a proprietary, customizable platform to design, build and deliver thousands of virtual and hybrid events, webinars, and on-demand educational sessions.

Digitell offers innovative technology for hosting virtual and hybrid events. As a partner of BroadcastMed, the organizations will be able to provide clients with cutting-edge options in event curation and exhibition. BroadcastMed’s database is also expanded to reach 1.7 million U.S. allied healthcare professionals.

“It is our strong belief that this alliance will bring about only positive changes for all stakeholders, especially our clients and the HCPs they serve,” Ross Joel, CEO and Co-Founder of BroadcastMed stated about the acquisition.

“The combined companies will be stronger in this growing market, and the increased resources will ensure that we can continue to provide quality service and innovative tools for our customers and clinicians,” Peter Gailey, President and Co-Founder of BroadcastMed added.

BroadcastMed is backed by 424 Capital, a growth stage investor. Brennan Mulcahey, partner at 424 Capital, and BroadcastMed Chairman, noted the value of the combination. “Both Digitell and BroadcastMed have a long track record for innovating and creating best-in-class solutions. This new partnership advances BroadcastMed’s mission of healthcare intelligence, furthering the goal to engage, educate, and inspire today’s healthcare workforce.”

“Digitell was seeking a partner that shared our culture and would support its strategic and technological initiatives,” Digitell’s Brian Zambotti explained. “This partnership will also allow us to continue the tradition we have for excellent client service and exceptional event execution.”
